Plant printing workshop

Plant printing workshop
September 26, 2020 – 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Jardin de la Récolte des Générations (3688, rue Principale)

In the spirit of the Fête des récoltes, attend a workshop of plant printing by hammer, called tataki zomé in Japanese, given by France Bergeron.

Using your hammer and leaves still filled with chlorophyll or flowers swollen with water, create a unique print on a piece of white fabric.

This is achieved by placing the plant in the desired location on the fabric, folding the fabric and striking it hard repeatedly so that the plant’s dye is imprinted in the fabric.

An accessible and creative workshop that takes place outside near the garden, continuously from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Important:  Bring your hammer (mandatory) and your own plant (if desired). Fabric is provided. Children 6 years and older must be accompanied by an adult.  Older children can be alone.
