Public Safety

The Town of Dunham’s public safety service is divided into two main parts :

The initial step, involving prevention, surveillance, and follow-up on files of a judicial nature, is covered by the regional Sûreté du Québec, whose police station is located in Dunham. An agreement with the Brome-Missisquoi RCM provides that this service must be offered throughout the territory and ensures respect of the new regulation (2010-11) adopted by all the municipalities of the RCM.

The Sûreté du Québec can be reached at any time by dialing 310-4141. Obviously, 911 can also respond to any type of emergency (fire, ambulance, etc.).

A second step for public safety in Dunham is covered by our local service of fire prevention and first responders. Patrick Cournoyer is in charge of leading the brigade. For further details, we invite you to consult the Fire service section and the Internet site of the Dunham Fire Safety Service (SSID).

We also invite you to consult the Sûreté du Québec Information guide for citizens.
