La Factrie de Dunham
La Factrie is a space for creation, training, and social and environmental solidarity. It is located at the Relais de la Diligence de Dunham. Workshops, various sewing classes, shows, and other unique and playful events are offered there with the goal of bringing together the collectivity and fostering more colourful human interaction. The team is made up of five artisans from the region who take pride in collecting: Maryse Messier, creator of La Main dans le Sac, Jolaine Beauregard, Myriam Bernier, eco-designer at the helm of the Mimi Laine d’Acier project, Marie-Julie Prévost alias Miss Iskoi, and Gabrielle Charbonneau, creator of the Mouvement d’Art Positif.
Originating from the domains of live performance, fashion, and environmental science, the team has been based in the middle of the village of Dunham since November 1, 2013, and has since come up with many initiatives that speak to their values. Here is a curious and multidisciplinary project that embodies quite effectively some futuristic solutions emerging from our hectic era!
