Tourism Action Committee
A committee that gets things done!
The Tourism Action Committee of Dunham (C.A.T.) is a nonprofit organization (NPO) created on May 26, 1998. Its members are either active members (natural persons residing in Dunham or with a business address in Dunham with an appointed representative) or associate members (legal entities from Dunham with an appointed representative). The organization is managed by seven volunteer administrators elected from among the members.
In accordance with its letters patent, the goals pursued by C.A.T. are to promote tourism, culture, and the arts, and also business development in Dunham. It gives or supports the initial push to a project or activity, brings about or fosters its creation, and possibly contributes to its success, namely by subsidizing activities or groups. To support C.A.T. in promoting tourism in the municipality, the town allocates a sum of money that allows it to subsidize various events. Furthermore, a memorandum of understanding will be designed to strengthen the partnership between the city and the Tourism Action Committee of Dunham and clearly define the roles and mandates of C.A.T. regarding the management of subsidies.
