Library and Art Center: My Childhood – 1944

Theatre – Public Reading

On June 6, 1944, deafening noises awaken the young boarders of St-André’s Cloister in Normandy. Some run to the window only to discover what looks like the end-of-the-world. It is the Normandy landing, liberation has begun. Now begins the long journey of survival amidst the chaos that followed D-Day operations.

Bénédicte Bérubé, a descendant of one of those little girls, journeys back in the footsteps of his grandmother’s history. Combining music with theater, this show aims to pay tribute to those civilians who lived through this dark period of history.

Public reading, Sunday, November 24th at 2:00 pm followed by a general discussion.
