Spring and warmer weather have arrived, bringing with them the problem of dust on unpaved roads!
The next few months are going to be challenging for unpaved road maintenance: snow, heavy rains, freeze/thaw periods.
Here are the steps for spring road maintenance to help you understand the current situation:
We are grading the roads on a regular basis to improve the road surface while we wait for the thaw and adequate moisture to do further work.
Once the thaw period is over, we will be able to apply a dusting agent. CAUTION: The road must first be properly graded and free of frost marks in the soil. To verify that the road is well thawed, there must be no more moisture coming out of the ground.
In some strategic areas, calcium will be applied, the other roads will be treated during the month of April and until the end of May.
We thank you for your understanding and patience.
