CONDITIONS
The conditions of entitlement for this subsidized program are determined by the Règlement no 469-23 établissant un programme pour favoriser l’acquisition de barils de récupération d’eau de pluie. To be eligible for the program, you must:
- Complete the application form;
- Return the form to the following e-mail address: tresorier@ville.dunham.qc.ca along with the documents requested in the form:
- Proof of residency on the territory of the Town of Dunham;
- Original detailed receipt, including proof of payment for the purchase of the barrel;
- Photo of the barrel attached to a building rain gutter.
- The request must be issued to the Town within 6 months of the date of purchase, and the purchase must be made after the By-law came into effect. Purchases made prior to the effective date of this By-law will not be eligible for financial assistance.
PROCEDURE
The citizen must purchase the rain barrel of his or her choice and keep the invoice of this purchase. Upon proof of eligibility, the Town will subsidize a portion of the purchase.
The Town will provide a subsidy of fifty dollars ($50) for each rain barrel. However, the subsidy cannot exceed the full cost of the barrel. A homeowner may apply for a maximum of two (2) rain barrels per property owned by the property owner. Any financial aid provided by the Town will be paid by cheque issued in the applicant’s name within a maximum of ninety days of the Town receiving the complete and eligible form.
