Animal control
Do you have a tag for your pet?
In February 2021, the municipal council adopted a by-law concerning animal control.
Any dog or cat kept on the territory of Dunham must be sterilized and must wear a tag proving its registration on the Town of Dunham’s registry.
Cost of the permit: $20 (taxes included), valid for the life of the animal
To register your animal:
- CLICK HERE to download details relative to registration;
- CLICK HERE to download the registration form (obligatory to finalize registration)
Once your pet is registered on the completed form and payment is received at the Town Hall, one tag per pet will be mailed to you. Your furry friend must wear it at all times.
In the event that the tag is lost or destroyed, the guardian may obtain another tag upon payment of a $10 fee (taxes included).
Please note that microchipping is not mandatory, it is optional. If your pet is microchipped, it must still be registered with the Municipality.
For more information or assistance, please contact the Town Hall reception desk at 450-295-2418, ext. 0, or by e-mail at info@ville.dunham.qc.ca.
