USE OF THE TOWN OF DUNHAM LOGO BY CANDIDATES
The Town of Dunham would like to remind candidates in the municipal election that the use of the Town’s logo on their promotional materials is prohibited during this election campaign.
The Town of Dunham logo is a trademark that belongs exclusively to the Town. As with any trademark or intellectual property, whether it belongs to a private company, an organization or a municipality, its use is strictly prohibited without the authorization of its owner.
Any material intended for general public distribution and bearing the Town’s logo must first be approved by the Town. Furthermore, during an election period, the Town has a duty of neutrality and would not have allowed its logo to be used for promotional purposes. This also may make it difficult for voters to distinguish the policies of the incumbent.
